Job Description
Department Overview Enterprise Function Technology within the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) business is responsible for supporting Enterprise Data technology, Enterprise technology initiatives related to messaging & collaboration, risk technology, corporate systems data, and various internal systems and tools. About The Role
This position is for ETL Development and Data validation role in RFCS portfolio applications as part of Data Technology group where team member can involve an End to End development/enhancing of large scale data warehouses and data validation. Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for development, maintenance & Support of the ETL Interfaces using Ab Initio, UNIX, Oracle OFSAA and Teradata.
- The candidate will also be involved in application support and data validation.
Essential Qualification
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in Engineering, or Post Graduate in Computer Applications
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience in creating or enhancing Datawarehouse applications using Ab Initio, Unix & Teradata, Oracle, SQL databases
- Strong knowledge in writing SQL queries (preferably in Teradata/Oracle)
- Must have strong knowledge and extensive "hands-on" experience in the complete development & enhancement of Ab Initio graphs
- Hands-on experience in using various Ab Initio Co Op s, XML's & parallelism techniques.
- Good Knowledge in Conduct>IT, Meta programming and Metadata Hub.
- Experience in working both waterfall and Agile models
- Strong Knowledge in Performance Tuning of Ab Initio graphs, UNIX Scripts & SQL queries
- Develop systems test plan components and test scripts with the QA staff.
- Validate data and do data profiling for business teams.
- Review and finalize Use Cases, Functional Design, and Process Flows
- Defines acceptance criteria and involves in solution validation cycle
- Strong knowledge in data warehouse concepts & very good understanding of Software Development Life cycle
- Executes basic to complex test cases and test scripts. Performs simple to moderately complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation.
- Having knowledge in QA tools like HP ALM and QC
- Excellent communication, analytical & problem solving skills
- Analyze complex business requirements, functional specs and writes technical specifications to improve the existing solutions
- Good to have: HIVE and HDFS
- Exposure in other flavors such as reporting, big data platform knowledge will be an added advantage
