About the Role
CMT is part of Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) group delivers Capital Markets technology solutions by following enterprise policies, guidelines and programs. The position is for a Capital Market App sys engineer who can lead and interface with a team of software engineers, business analysts, management, and other technology groups across Capital Markets Technology at WFEGS. Responsibilities include development and maintenance of complex Foreign Exchange back office applications and supporting these applications and the various environments as an escalation point. - Lead Investment Banking technology teams across multiple locations with direct responsibility for Development, Technology Analysis teams and QA teams.
- Lead, design and develop technology solutions to complex problems that require both in depth knowledge of capital markets and strong technical expertise.
- Collaborate with US technology managers for projects driven by them with a team extension model.
- Drive full project life cycle for other projects / applications including user interaction, planning, development, testing and L3 support.
- Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation of right controls and escalate where required.
- Act as the primary point person to peer groups and customers for effective communication on systems and projects within area of responsibility.
- Design and develop applications, tools and processes to ensure better safety, reliability and supportability.
- Ensure operation hygiene of the team. Recruit, mentor and develop talent by setting appropriate goals and expectations for the team.
- Lead organizational initiatives, foster diversity and inclusion, and champion change within the group.
- Primary point person for systems and projects within area of responsibility
- 13+ years of experience in developing enterprise software solutions, of which 3+ years in should be in the financial services / capital markets domain.
- 3+ years specific functional area experience in capital markets business and processes (e.g. electronic trading / trade booking/ Pricing / trade lifecycle / settlement & confirmations) from an application development perspective
- Will need to work with multiple teams to design and implement solutions Infrastructure, Development, App Support, QA, DBA and business teams
