Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role of the Managing Editor is with Nursing Next Exam Prep Pvt. Ltd. where the incumbent would be managing the production team keeping in consideration the pre-editing and post-editing responsibility.
The role is a senior level post where the managing editor will be making decisions, coordination with various authors in order to maintain the process flow. He/She will be responsible for editing and proof reading the content for both print and digital edition.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To edit medical/scientific contents for print & digital edition
- To coordinate with author from the collection of Manuscript to the final approval
- To check the plagiarism of the text & images received by the author/faculty/content writers and to coordinate with author/faculty/content writers to make the content plagiarism free
- To work closely with designer, page setter and proof readers to give the final shape of the book
- To monitor and keep records of every stage of editorial and production process
- To provide inputs and idea to the authors/contributors to make the product audience oriented
- Singularly responsible for successfully closing projects, including interacting with authors to generate appropriate content, editing and processing and finally publishing.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience of min 2 years in same Portfolio
- Good command over English language
- Must be from the Science Background
- The knowledge of Publishing manual of style, preferably Chicago Manual of Style
- Knowledge of plagiarism software and tools (Optional)
- Good understanding of copyright or intellectual property rights
- Insightful exposure to the entire spectrum of activities involved in production/editing, writing,
- Highly creative, proactive and achievement driven with a strong work ethic and an aptitude for effective implementation and execution.

- Working Location Patparganj Industrial Area (Near Anand Vihar)
- 6 working days
- Regular working timings 10:00 6:00 pm (Need to work extra depending on the work load)
