Job Title: Senior Test Analyst (Automation)
Exp : 5 to 9 years
Location:Vadodara
Overview:

Role Purpose
- To lead the successful delivery of automated testing for projects and multiple product areas covering all relevant test phases.
- Taking responsibility for all test automation activities from the initial planning and estimating, through to the delivery of the solution, providing expert testing input to the overall planning, estimating, monitoring and control of the delivery.
- Driving continuous improvement to increase product quality and achieve Civica Group business targets.
- In general, travel to the UK could be one visit every 2 years. This can be at short notice and this frequency is not guaranteed as all travel is based on a clear business or project requirement. A passport is essential.
2. Principal Responsibilities & TasksKey Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set long-term plans and strategies to ensure the tools, skills and processes used in test automation meet the needs of the project teams consistent with the overall test strategy.
- Creation and reuse of robust Automation Frameworks in line with Industry Best Practice
- Drive and measure Return on Investment of automation
- Drive test automation efforts for all services including identification, design, implementation and support of 'fit for purpose' automation capabilities for time critical solutions under test.
- Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive automatable scenarios.
- Evaluate existing manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation.
- Analyse current automation solutions, understand changing business needs, and propose strategies for the enhancement and/or migration to a new automation framework.
- Able to run investigations into root-cause analysis of failures, hardware or software, using the appropriate tools and recommend solutions to the relevant teams for resolution.
- Must be comfortable working in multiple environments within a collaborative team (Software/System Engineers, Project Manager and customers).
- Manage the production, quality and accuracy of all test deliverables and ensure that these adhere to the Civica Test Policy
- Produce test deliverables, test plans and test outcome reports
- Manage the quality aspects of testing work and provide peer review of the testing artefacts produced by others in the testing team
- Provide accurate and concise process updates ensuring visibility of the test process to the project / product teams and the Civica Software Quality Assurance team
- Assess and mitigate any risks or issues that threaten the achievement of the testing deliverables
Reporting Relationships :
- Provide accurate timely reporting information on progress, risks and issues
- Build collaborative relationships within the Civica Group both internally and externally to the testing team and with partners
- Ensure that effective communication is maintained with team members on the same or related projects / product teams to build common goals and avoid misunderstandings
- Champion test automation
3. Education
- First class and above grade in BE/BTECH/MCA equivalent degree from a university of UGC accredited.
4. Essential Competencies
- Solid experience of writing automated tests using Selenium
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and should be able to apply them in test automation script development.
- Proven experience of creating automation frameworks
- Experience of developing, creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Experience of applying test automation across a range of technologies, both new and legacy
- Experience of a variety of test automation tools such as Selenium, Gherkin and eggplant, Axe and Ranorex
- Understanding of the waterfall and agile development methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrate initiative in developing solutions to problems encountered during testing
- Good in oral and written communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussions.
- Proactive personality and able to work autonomously.
- Good team player.
- The ability to work to agreed deadlines.
- Should be a detailed oriented.
- Ability to work at detailed and abstract levels.
- Ability to guide junior team members.
- Self-learner.
