Banquet coordinators oversee and manage every aspect related to the entertainment, food, and drink at formal events such as fundraisers, wedding receptions, and conventions. They are extremely organized and excellent multi-taskers who remember even the smallest of details. Banquet coordinators typically work for event planning companies that service clients in every industry. As such, banquet coordinators are always traveling to evaluate and set up at different venues, including hotels, convention centers, and resorts. This is a skilled position that requires a bachelors degree. Banquet coordinators typically work at least full-time hours, and they are often working overtime hours, especially during the time events are held.
