Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Nokia (ALU) 1830 Transport Platform, Optical Transport Integration experience and hands on in 1830PSS-8/16/32 is a must
- Ability to write Method of Procedure for 1830 Optical Integration.
- Ability to read, validate MOPs and Standard Operating Procedures and execute Integration in the Maintenance window.
- Troubleshooting skills in case of any issues during Integration.
- Test/validate the MOP using network simulators, lab environment and peer review.
- Perform software upgrades, implementation, integration and maintenance support as required
- Record Configurations changes, upgrades, log collection.
- Familiarity with DWDM optical transport equipment
- Detailed understanding of Optical Networks, OTN, DWDM, ROADM, FOADM, SDH, SONET, Understanding of Coherent optical transmission technologies, Switching, Routing, Data Networks, DCN, and Synchronization of optical networks.
- Working knowledge with various Router interfaces viz. 7750 SR-s7, 7250 IXR-R6, 7250 IXR-e and 1830PSS-8/8x/16II/32 nodes
Desired Candidate Profile
- Working in Australian Maintenance Window timings and Preparation works in Australian day timings based on work schedules
- PC & Software skills including MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, Visio, SharePoint
- Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills a must.
- Proven ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to delivery in fast-paced high volume environment supporting aggressive targets.
- CCNA/CCNP in Routing is an advantage
