- Focus primarily on database operations for Oracle platforms
- Administer and maintain a mission-critical based on:
- Databases including Real Application Cluster and virtualization
- SAN-based storage
- Plan for capacity, performance, and service availability of systems in line with business needs.
- Monitor the database systems in terms of operation, capacity, and performance. Completing investigations into inefficiencies and producing root cause analysis and improvement recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance disaster recovery procedures.
- Plan, test, and implement patches and software updates.
- Participate in call rotation/duties.
Education and Experience
Specify what level of education is needed (secondary school, technical school, university, master, Ph.D., etc). Define how many years of relevant working experience is required and which type of experience.
- +5 years of work experience in enterprise environments within a data center team.
- Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
- +3 years experience as a Database administrator for enterprise-level Oracle services
- Experience or working knowledge in ITIL processes and standards is an added advantage though not essential
- Some experience and understanding of some or all technologies currently deployed in the Global Data Center
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential

- Team members within the Global data center and Technical Services team as a whole

- Based in Bangalore, India
- Occasional short-term travel within EMEA may be required to visit suppliers or customer locations
