Engineer - Purchase

Location - Chennai

Job Criteria :-

Degree / Diploma in Mech Engineering
4 - 6 years experience in (Plant) Purchase

Soft-Skills

Knowledge of Material management.
Effective negotiation.
Knowledge of Supplier agreements.
Supplier evaluation and capability assessment.
Ability to independently handle team.
Effective Communication.

Job Roles and Responsibilities :-

Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies.
Purchase order Management for all Product category and Materials.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials
Controlling on BOM Cost at Plant Level.
Analyze Supply base and their delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
Arrange for disposal of surplus materials & Non-production Related purchases.
Coordinating Year end Inventory audit and submitting relevant reports.
Inventory Control and Management as per target.
Coordinating with team for Cost savings projects and VA/VE Projects.
Coordinates scrap disposal.
Maintain MIS.
