Job Description
Role : ETL/DB Developer
Experience : 4+ years
Location: Kochi
This requirement is for Informatica Power Center ETL developer with Oracle SQL PLSQL skills
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of 5+ years Informatica PowerCenter
- Experience in ETL routines/transformation development experience for Extraction, transformation and Loading data into Target Databases
- Minimum of 3-5+ years SQL and PL/SQL experience
- Hands on experience with Oracle Database, Procedures, Functions, Triggers and other database objects
- Proficiency in Database SQL query development and data analysis
- Good listening and interpretation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead tasks and contribute to multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to collaborate with members of the client community as well as IT staff
- Critical thinking with excellent judgment and initiative.
Skills:
- Develop ETL routines for Extraction, transformation and Loading data into Target Databases
- Perform data analysis and normalization to resolve requirement conflicts and gaps between various data stores and business entities create entity relationship and multidimensional data models, reports and diagrams.
- Document and develop ETL routines related to Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, star/snow flake schema models, slowly changing dimensions, foreign key concepts & referential integrity.
-Work with engineers from disparate source systems for data acquisition, transformation and data quality.
- Understand the structure and meaning of data coming in the source systems through data profiling and applying business content to the data.
- Define business rules and transformations for data coming from source systems into the data warehouse to match the business application of the data.
- Design and develop production level data loads into the data warehouse that are optimized for fast performance and minimal maintenance.
- Design dimensional data models that Work well with the other components of the BI stack, like the database and reporting tools.
- Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Implement fixes and Design data audits to capture the issues in the future.
- Implement indexing and partitioning strategies that maximize query performance based on how users access the data.
- Interface with system architects, designers, and developers to ensure a thorough understanding of functions, technical, and performance requirements
- Review/analyze test case results to ensure functionality meets documented specifications
- Assist in the execution/analysis of integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
