Desired Candidate Profile
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Embedded SW Development Engineer Predix EdgeOS will own & drive the porting of GE Edge OS Linux on to the various Grid Automation target platforms and lead & sustain the ports throughout the Grid Automation product life cycle
Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain the ports of GE Edge OS Yocto Linux on the Grid Automation ARM and X86 target platforms
- Maintain Edge OS port alignment with the target CPU/SoC hardware vendors SDK and toolchains
- Liaise with the GE Edge OS development team, the target hardware platform vendor support teams and the Grid Automation product development teams
- Resolve Edge OS related technical challenges and provide support, documentation and training to Grid Automation development teams
- Actively stay engaged with the open source and OEM communities and channel back the technology developments into the Grid Automation EdgeOS distributions
Education:
UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
