Job Description

About the Role

You will work as part of the middle office team to support Retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and verifying customer, third party and lender documents to ensure it meets loan program guidelines associated with the loan. Responsibilities

  • Complete a variety of tasks as per processes assigned within specified parameters/SLA
  • Review and validate documents received from the customer, third parties and lender meet loan program guidelines and requirements
  • Perform data capture from the customer, third party and lender documents in the system of records.
  • Analyze document findings and relay information to the different roles including originator, processor, underwriter and closer.
  • Facilitate loan movement through loan life cycle and roles including originator, processor, underwriter and closer.
  • Responsible for completing all assigned tasks accurately and within the defined processing time frame
  • Perform second level review of tasks and processes in adherence to SOP
  • Escalate any problems resolving exceptions, issues or delays in a timely manner to Supervisor and stateside partners, as applicable
  • Ability to train the new joiners and audit the existing team members on various tasks
  • Actively lead projects through to implementation including the delegation and direction of work among other project team members
  • Be part of calls with stateside partners on process related calls
  • Independently resolve operational and process exceptions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle escalations and resolve complex process related queries
  • Team handling in absence of Team leader/Assistant manager
  • Good command on Coaching, training and mentoring new joiners/existing team members
Essential Qualifications
  • University degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Relevant Experience: 24+ months of US mortgage experience preferably in HOI process
  • Willingness to work in shifts (including 9:30 PM logins)
  • Advanced knowledge on MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Access is preferred
  • Minimum Typing Speed Accuracy: 30 to 35 (WPM/90%)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems, applications and utilize search tools to find and request information
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to work on multiple loan files and take decisions on each - may own the loan and will be required to take multiple decision at various intervals on the loan
  • Strong analytical skills.
