## Who are we?
We are Packt, a publishing company founded in 2003 headquartered in Birmingham, UK, with offices in Mumbai, India operating world wide. We primarily publishes print and electronic books and videos relating to information technology, including programming, web design, data analysis and hardware.
## What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer that enjoys what they do. Ultimately we want someone that not only develops great solutions but someone that can drive innovation in a technical environment. We are looking for someone who has a robust understanding of RESTful APIs and the Laravel Ecosystem that will assist us in driving business systems forward.
## What are your expectations of me?
We expect you to have at least 3 years full-time experience in building software solutions in PHP. Ultimately, we want you to become part of the Platforms team and help drive innovation within the company whilst further progressing your skills.
We are currently refactoring a number of our existing systems into Laravel, this will allow us to get our solutions to market quicker and have a better understanding of how our systems are implemented. The current systems are written in NodeJS but we will be looking to migrate away from this as soon as possible. Given this we would require you to have exposure and an active interest in the following:
* PHP
* Laravel
* Javascript
* React
* VueJS
* NodeJS
Dont worry, we are not expecting you to be an expert in all of the above skills but having exposure to them would certainly assist in your application.
## What about Covid - 19 ?
This will be 100% remote, you can use your own hardware or we'll get hardware sent out to you
