Job Description
Role & responsibility:Define policies, processes to enhance security posture, work with internal IT teams to review application security needs.
Application Security Audits
Communicate with peers in the Systems and Networking groups and the business groups to ensure enterprise wide understanding of security goals, to solicit feedback and to foster co-operation.
Periodic audit of applications, network, operating systems and developing of audit reports for internal teams.
Comprehend and enforce applicable laws, regulations and compliance relating to IT and Information security and privacy, working closely with other departments
Participate in internal and external statutory audits and track progress of gaps identified in internal and external audits.
Create internal audit plans against set standards and practices and conduct period audit of critical infrastructure, applications and support partner engagements.
Define security activities calendar, activities to be performed and track progress made by different owners and teams
Maintain current knowledge of the information security field; tracks new developments in rapidly changing information technologies and implements improvements in technical security tools, especially regarding authentication, access control, audit logs, physical security, linkage control, software discipline, backup and disaster recovery, system self-assessment and the changing threat landscape.
Review companys security posture, threats and risks and take appropriate action to mitigate them
Study applicable laws and standards and assess companys compliance against them, take actions to meet the requirements or laws, standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
Around 3 - 4 years of experience in similar capacity
A fairly good grasp of business operations
Technology understanding of various security solutions
Good communication skills
Desirable:
Exposure to multiple server operating systems and leading security solutions
Previous experience in handling projects of certification, compliance & audit
Understanding of PCI-DSS, IT ACT
Education:
Bachelor degree. Candidates having CISA / CISM / CISSP certification in will have preference
