Role Summary: Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for a Junior Architect interested in growing their careers in an organization listed among top 10 mid-size Great Places to Work in India. The company has a full complement of professionals with expertise in Architecture, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Construction, and Project Management to serve the facilities market in North America region. This group provides engineering services for facilities which includes but not limited to data centers, manufacturing, commercial, food & consumer product, and aviation. We are looking for an experienced, young, and energetic architect to join our growing Global Facilities team in Mumbai office to lead and support architectural design activities on projects mainly in North America region. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Architect and will assist in building an architectural team to support future facility design projects. Responsibilities: The Architect will assist project teams of architects, designers and engineers to create world class design on a variety of projects including corporate, healthcare, airports, institutional, governmental, mission critical, aerospace, and military from concept design through completion of construction: 1. Assist project teams and works on a variety of design projects from conceptual design through construction administration. 2. Develop, modify, and review construction drawings and specification for facilities listed above. 3. Assist in the development of interiors based on client vision and architectural needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. 4. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the architecture industry. 5. Manage data complied as required by the project managers. 6. Build effective relationships with existing customers, contractors, and peers to help develop new business opportunities. 7. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skillset: 1. Bachelor's degree in architecture from accredited program is required. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience. 3. Prefer previous experience in healthcare, aerospace, military, airport, and institutional facility related experience. 4. Ability to work across disciplines of Architecture, Structural, and MEP. 5. Must have ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. 6. Expert software and computer skills required including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, and Microsoft Professional Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). REVIT, AutoCAD and Sketchup proficiency are mandatory. 7. Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
