Job Description
Description:Summary: The main function of the Database Developer is to design or modify database designs to solve database processing problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Performs database analysis and database design tasks. Master Data Management through Informatica, TeraData, or similar.Job Responsibilities: Ensures that databases meet required operational standards and performance levels (as measured by reliability, response time, query execution time, etc.). Participates in database consultations and database design reviews. Develops and implements backup and recovery strategies. Activities include: denormalization, developing data archival schemes, sizing, creation of data definition language and database objects, referential integrity and security enforcement and application optimization. Performs the administration, monitoring, tuning and support of databases in the production environment. Master data management activities through Informatica or TeraData, or similar.Qualifications: Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions/recommendations to solve problems Prior experience working with databases, master data management, database analysis, data modeling, data queries.Skills/Experience: Knowledge of SQL, SSIS Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience 5-7 years experience

Education: BS Computer Science / B TechComputers/BSE Computers / MS Computer Science / Masters Computer Application(MCA), BE Bachelor of Engineering
Key Characteristics:
Minimum of 5-8 years experience in implementing business intelligence and data warehousing projects
Design, Development and support of ETL, OLAP and MSBI based applications
SSIS Design & Development
SQL Server Database Design & Development
Manage internal/external stakeholders
Develop & manage - project artifacts like Design Documents, ER Models, Data and Dimension Modeling, Performance
Provide UAT and Implementation support.
Strong analytical skills, above average written and verbal communication skills.
Other database tools like Oracle, MySQL, etc
BI Tools like Excel/Power BI
Preferred Certifications / Skills:
Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (70-461, 70-463)
Key Responsibilities:
Performs analysis, design, programming, test plans, testing, debugging, modification and support for ETL systems using SSIS.
Provides advanced technical troubleshooting for ETL platforms emphasis on root cause analysis including data issues and SQL validation.
Writes and maintains documentation describing changes/modifications to all systems.
Researches solutions to various business and technical problems, evaluate alternatives, scope appropriately and present recommendations with justification to management
Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal direction and be team oriented with ability to work in onshore-offshore model.,
