As a PDM (Product Data Management) Analyst you will manage the analysis, the timely approval of product change orders and the implementation of product changes with our partners/ contract manufacturers. The PDM Analysts role is to act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and our manufacturing partners to properly document product changes, to be efficiently implemented in the supply chain. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve configuration management issues, supporting both new product introduction and sustaining activities. The ideal individual will be a self-starter and is capable of building strong working relationships within and across functions.
A strong understanding of BOM data/Supply Chain process experience (Agile PLM, ERP preferred)
Essential Functions:
- Manage the PLM/ERP interface application and maintain a high standard of data integrity in both PLM and ERP systems.
- Understand the Assemble and structure of complex BOMs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve configuration management issues.
- Analyze, record and report information needed to manage configuration items effectively, including the status of proposed changes and implementation status of approved changes.
- Create engineering change orders. Act as liaison between engineering and manufacturing to properly document form/fit/function issue and drive solution through the formal engineering change process.
- Apply quality management practices to improve engineering services process and procedures.
- Manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for tracking and trending preventive and corrective actions as well as generating associated metrics.
- Develop and implement process improvements and procedures that incorporate good business practices.
- Support both new product introduction and sustaining activities.
- Process change orders and via Agile and be responsible for product life cycle management.
- Generate bill of material structures in Agile and Oracle.
- Troubleshoot interface errors between Agile/Oracle
- Part Attribute data integrity and updating.
- Manage special projects as assigned and deliver results on time.
- Data analysis, writing business requirements documents, managing UAT/testing efforts relating to system implementation/enhancement
- Experience in creating, reviewing, and analyzing product change orders.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile PLM and Oracle 11i ERP.
- Able to learn and administer applications and systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, and business skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Agile and/or Oracle bill of material experience.
- High level understanding of New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, PLM Implementation
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel will be a plus
Education and Experience
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Product Lifecycle and Configuration management
- Minimum of 3 years any Bachelors Degree is required
