TITLE: Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) having at least 5-8 years of Software Industry experience, preferably in Insurance domain and a process driven environment.
REPORTING TO: Project Manager
WORKING LOCATION: Hyderabad
JOB SUMMARY:
SLIC is in the crossroad of modernizing the existing platforms and enhancing its footprint in digital and social world. As the vital link between a SLICs business objectives and information technology capabilities, the Sr. BA will play an important role in achieving these high standard goals. The sr. business analysts primary objective is helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. In this process the Sr. BA will work closely with the Business, end users, and project team to analyze the functional specifications and requirements.(S)He will work with the development and UAT teams as a bridge to make them understand the business needs, requirements and the big picture.
Overall responsible for adhering to process and achieve desired quality levels in each project/products assigned to.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements are core of any BAs role. Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for the business.
- Clearly defining, analyzing and documenting requirements.
- Requirements management (plan and monitor) and communication to the stakeholders.
- Preparation of BRD with right translation, and simplification of the requirements.
- Elicitation of requirements by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas by following the software development lifecycle.
- Determine testability of requirements with evaluation, problem definition, and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions with the help of Use case diagram, wireframes, flowcharts, layouts, charts and presentation.
- Help and guide the UAT team in scenario designing, reviewing the scenarios and test cases, conducting UAT.
- Help organizing meetings with the stakeholders
- Status reporting (to the project team and Business teams) and following up with Stakeholders.
- Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration
Technical knowledge:
- Very good knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Good knowledge of tools like Visio, Balsamiq, SmartDraw, MS Office Suites, Google Docs
- Good knowledge of JIRA, MS Teams, TFS.
- Good Data Base (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/MS Access) and SQL knowledge
- Good knowledge of Webservices (RESTful, SOA), micro-services development.
- Good experience in understanding of Android and iOS developer environment and related
frameworks.
Personal Qualities:
- Very good English communication skills (concise writing and orally convincing).
- Excellent analytical skill which allows him/her to quickly identify gaps in specifications and
code.
- High grasping power to understand and absorb qualitative or quantitative data and draw deep
insights.
- Strong attention to details.
- Proactive, self-starter and responsive problem solver.
- Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities.
- At ease with distant communications leveraging a wide array of technologies (shared documents
and forums, phone, chat, email).
- Easy going, with the sense-of-humor and common sense engrained.
- A highly motivated team player who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams,
overcomes obstacles by collaborating with others in the team.

BE/MCA or any other equivalent degree
Insurance Domain experience - Nice to have
Business Process Management - Nice to have
IIBA Certification Nice to have
Workflow Management - Nice to have
Payment Gateway Integration, WhatsApp Integration knowledge Nice to have
