Flatirons Solutions, Inc. is hiring Software Engineers for our Engineering Operations Organization in Chennai, India. Join us as we employ world-class software engineering practices to solve complex Content Lifecycle Management (CLM) problems in some of the most interesting problem spaces in the industry today. Our solutions are used in a wide range of functions within these organizations and include technical engineering order management, documentation authoring and publishing, flight operations manuals, data archiving, and other workflows, documentation, and maintenance products.

What you will do all day:
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Scrum practices and the values of the methodology.
- Act as a servant leader for the development team by actively removing impediments
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutions.
- Facilitate team ceremonies (Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives).
- Calculate the sprint capacity and expected velocity.
- Report deviations from the planned capacity and velocity to the project manager. Investigate the cause of the deviations and mitigate the issue. Report on any trends and the resolution of the issue and any other relevant information to the project manager.
- Provide a daily report on progress against or changes to the plan to the project manager. This is not a report on the list of activities, but rather the scrum master's analysis of the project health based on sprint performance.
- Work with the Resource Manager and Project Manager to fill any staffing gaps in the sprint, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the budget impact is understood and approved.
- Empowered to make decisions in critical situations and performs knowledge transfer of the situation with the project manager and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the team in keeping a groomed project backlog in Jira.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Business or related field or Scrum Master certification required.
- 3-5 year experience in agile management preferred.
- Must have excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal skills a must!
- Someone who can explain intricate and complicated concepts and ideas.
