Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is part of the Product Engineering board area and consists of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and Cloud Application Services (CAS) , with Private and Hyperscaler deployment options, a true multicloud service offering.
The Role
Design and Run the overall Hyperscaler environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
Design and Run the AWS /Azure network architecture including vNET/VPC peering across networks, Manage NSGs and NACLs.
Design and Operationalize the HA / DR scenarios based on best practices of AWS/Azure.
Set up process, services and tools around cloud technologies.
Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes.
OS Concepts on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, database replication.Infrastructure services like LDAP,DNS,Proxy
Good Knowledge on SUSE pacemake cluster operations and best practices.
Leverage Azure services for balancing Cost and Scalability.
Validate the environment to meet security and compliance standards.
Managing the daily operations to ensure high availability.Strong collaboration with other support and engineering teams within ECS Delivery Unit.
Willingness to take on call duty/Weekend tasks in APJ/EMEA time zones.
Excellent communication skills with clear focus on Customer Success.
Role Requirement
- 7+ years work experience in server / Cloud administration (3rd level support)
- Multiyear work experience in international teams and Global Projects.
- Good knowledge on ITIL Standards for Problem, Change and Incident Management.
- BE/B.Tech/MCA from a well Reputed Institute.
- Advanced technical background and administration experience for server operating systems (SUSE Linux)
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint.
- In depth knowledge of Azure Platform you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy.
- Cloud agnostic approach, with core knowledge of public cloud AWS & Azure offerings.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in multicloud setup.
