Job Description
Position: Software Tester
Reports To: Project Manager
Years of Experience: 2-4 years.
Location: Salt Lake, Kolkata
Compensation: As per industry standards
Joining Time: Candidates who can join immediately or on notice period will be preferred.
Shift: 12:30PM to 08:30PM IST

Roles and Responsibilities
As a software tester, you will be responsible for creation of test designs, test processes, test cases and test data. You will also carry out testing as per the defined procedures, participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures, prepare all reports related to software testing carried out and ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures. You will also track and monitor the updates in the external 3rd party solutions and ensure to carry out regression testing of the solution to understand the impact on our solutions. You will also be needed to manage the release versions and build the solution as part of release management process once testing has been successfully completed.
- Working with software developers and project support teams to understand the solution
- Build and install solution for testing
- Test case and test data creation
- Writing and executing test scripts / stubs
- Running manual and automated tests
- Testing in different environments including web and mobile
- Writing bug reports
- Monitoring 3rd party applications and software systems
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Stress testing
- Performance testing
- Providing feedback to software development project teams
Skills Required:
- 2-4 years relevant hands on testing experience preferably in a company that handles large clients
- Preferable: Knowledge of any automated testing tool and creation of test cases will be an advantage
- Strong organizational, coordination and good communications skills
- Independent, quick learner and self-motivated
- Ability to work as part of a young team in a dynamic environment
