Job Description

  • Manage all facilities preventive & predictive maintenance processes.
  • Ensure & manage cost within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Manage end user and stakeholder expectations and requirements.
  • Foster strong working relationships with users, vendors and cross functional team members.
  • Plan & implement the following:
  • Interfacing with the landlord for parking allocation, maintenance of electrical panels, generator set, etc.
  • Synchronizing with Food Committee & caterers for smooth supply of consumables & other cafeteria services with compliance with EHS policies.
  • Regulate space management; managing work and lab space effective utilization.
  • Accountable for :
  • Employee transportation i.e., new vehicle requirements, deploying new routes, vehicle optimization, utilization reports and broadcasting
  • Parking management for total and utilization of allocated parking space
  • Record keeping of office stationery including keys, stationery, crockery, housekeeping consumables etc.
  • Surplus Management
  • Cafeteria management i.e., Maintain kitchen equipment checklist; ensure cleanliness in the cafeteria, hygiene of staff, timely availability of food, food scrap management , including coordinating with vendor to take the scrap after checking & weighing the same

EHS

  • Evaluation of existing EHS documentation, reporting systems and programs with respect to Indian legal EHS requirements and Seagate Corporate EHS Guidelines.
  • Conducting follow-on EHS site assessments including baseline health and safety assessments of the Seagate site covering office floors, utility area, electrical rooms, etc.
  • Suggesting improvements with respect to good management practices and Fire and Life Safety code/Standards applicable for commercial building in India.
  • Follow-up of the previous site assessment findings and review/conform closure of findings.
  • Review and update on on-site Emergency Plan for Pune site.
  • Conducting training programs for Seagate and contractor employees covering applicable Indian EHS regulatory requirements, Fire and Life Safety Codes/Standards applicable for industrial and commercial buildings.
  • Conducting Fire Drills in association with building owners and Seagate ERT members
  • Conduct health check of emergency tools like Automatic Defibrillator.
  • Assisting the Seagate and Emergency Response team in induction/training of new employees and record keeping (e.g. training records, fire and emergency evacuation drill and other EHS records).
  • Follow up with EHS compliance review findings and work with team for closure;
  • Review and update the on-site emergency plan/procedure.
  • Conduct briefing to Seagate Sponsors/Contractors working on-site on Contractor Safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hold regular meetings with management team.
  • Conduct induction training for new employees.
  • Conducting EHS incident investigations.
  • Implementation of to applicable Seagate CSOP requirements (e.g. Ergonomics, Permit to Work, Work at Height, LOTO, etc) for the site.
  • Getting and reviewing the applicable legal updates and implement where applicable.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in related Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical or Facilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • Preferably with facilities experience in R&D in electronics manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple vendors and users.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and AutoCAD.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no direct supervision in a fast paced work environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • English language proficiency is required.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Experience in ISO14001 and ISO 450001 implementation is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory Requirements in Pune and India and experience on legal compliance
  • Ability to lead/influence people for EHS activities and will be responsible for driving EHS behavior in the sites
