Role & Responsibilities include:
- Initiates programs by leading alignment on program scope, release planning, aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, create program structure, and securing cross-functional support.
- Owns the release planning process across products.
- Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent engineering teams from delivering on release goals.
- Provide visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members and interested parties).
- Lead Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders for each program to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues. Be the key driver to ensure business goals are met and support the strategic vision of each program.
- Develop strong partnerships with functional leaders to drive focus on business objectives. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success.
- Supports workgroup meetings to address tactical release health issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc.
- Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations)
- Creates a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation and learning.
- Be a thought leader within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change.
- Ability to understand technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
- Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic.
- Ability to manage/juggle competing priorities without loss of efficiency.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Master s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines or equivalent experience in technical leadership roles.
- 6-10 years (Senior Manager) of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience in product engineering and/or management with expertise in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Excellent track record of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; keen understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development and release lifecycle.
- Thorough understanding of agile software development processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on leadership.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment consisting of software engineering, infrastructure, product management and business operations.
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport with executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
- Energetic self-starter passionate about professional integrity and excellence with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment where you must take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with all functions across the entire company.
