Sr. Cloud Engineer - Pune - CrowdStrike - 3 to

Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking to hire a cloud engineer focused on helping develop our next-generation streaming query platform. This team provides the necessary infrastructure and automation for users to analyze and act on vast quantities of data effortlessly in near real-time on a live data stream. The team has one of the most critical roles to play in ensuring our products are best-in-class in the industry. You will interact with product managers and other engineers in building both internal and external facing services.

You will:

• Help define, build, and maintain our next generation streaming query platform processing Petabytes of data

• Work with industry-leading technologies like RocksDB, Apache Kafka, Apache Helix

• Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects

• Troubleshoot critical production issues

Key Qualifications:

You have:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

• 9+ years of relevant work experience

• Experience with event stream platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)

• Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization

• Experience in building streaming platforms at scale (Note: We process over 1 Trillion events per week)

• Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• C++ with strong debugging skills

• Operation experience in the tuning of clusters for optimal data processing

• Experience working in Linux

Bonus points awarded if you have:

• Familiarity with Docker-based development and orchestration

• Experience with in-memory or embedded key/value stores (RocksDB)

• Created automated / scalable query streaming platform for teams in the past

• Knowledge of graph database design and graph algorithms

• Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)

• Prior experience with NoSQL and Relational DBs

• Go, Java, Python experience

• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
