Youll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of whats being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. As a member of the Platform Services Messaging team, you will be responsible for the design infrastructure development testing integration operation and support of the RabbitMQ product offering. You will be part of an agile development feature team reporting into the RabbitMQ product owner. The RabbitMQ feature team is responsible for adhering to firm-wide architectural design standards risk management security policies and data management policies. The candidate will assist the feature team with setting strategic technology directions development best practices and will also conduct peer code reviews. The candidate will support all elements of the Software Development Lifecycle and participate in the development of integration elements data models and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Responsibilities shall include:
Design, Develop, and Operate solutions for a cloud computing platform encompassing private and public clouds, at scale
Bake in attributes of security, auditability and observability into the platform
Define and build value-add services on the platform using cloud-native principles
Create technical design for development and integration of new software and system technologies
Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting
Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via developing tools and automation
Adopting cutting-edge technologies and creating best-of-breed solutions by researching and evaluating alternate solutions
Help evangelize and adopt cloud to an eco-system of developers in the technical community
3 to 8 years of development experience having built and delivered large systems
Expert level proficiency with at least one programming language such as Java or Python
Experience in writing automated tests (Junit or pytest etc.)
Experience in Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes is essential.
Experience on messaging systems like rabbitmq, QPID or kafka is a plus.
Experience in programming frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Cloud or Django etc.) is a plus
Experience in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline; automated build and test systems is a plus
Experience on IAAS namely VMware is a big plus (e.g. ESX etc. )
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - desire and expertise to build and solve complex problems in systems at scale
Computer Science degree from a top-tier college.
