Job Description
A prestigious client of ours have a requirement for the role of Technical Business Consultant Support. This role is based in Bengaluru and successful candidate should be able to join as soon as possible. To be successful in this role, it is critical that the you have excellent communication skills in addition to the other skills detailed below:
Roles and Responsibilities include
1. Maintenance of Business Consultant's (BC) demonstration environments:
- Liaise with BCs and innovation to identify when an update/fix should be applied to the current demonstration environments.
- Apply updates to each BC environment.
2. Version upgrades to BC demonstration environments:
- Install and configure the E2E platform for ALL components, and ensure it supports a demonstration environment.
- Migrate existing BC demonstration environment (latest databases, resource files, config files, analytic cubes, Adaplink configurations, etc) from the previous appropriate source(s) and restore accordingly.
- Maintain security for BC demonstration environment: Identifying UserID changes (e.g. new additions, retired UserIDs), copying profiles across the E2E platform to ensure a consistent demonstration experience for all BCs.
- Validate BC demonstration environment prior to handover to BCs
- Coordinate cloning process for each BC and configuring each clone appropriately
3. Troubleshooting:
- Support Business Consultant, if and when issues are encountered in accessing demonstration environments and troubleshooting encountered issues impacting demonstrations.
4. Proof Of Concept Environment creation:
- Ability to set up at short notice a cloned demonstration environment to support a Proof of Concept with a prospect
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Required skillset
- DBA skills backing up and restoring databases; writing complex SQL statements; SSAS knowledge
- Powershell proficiency- ability to write and maintain scripts
- Highly Organized
- Good time management
- Educator/ability to transfer relevant technical knowledge to BCs when appropriate
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to communicate across both business and technical teams (BCs, QA, Innovation, IT)
- Ability to document the relevant information (how to use utilities, instructions to BCs were relevant to the new environment)
- Good Presentation skills.
- Independent Learner
2.Additional Desired skillset:
- Knowledge of supply chain planning processes
- Knowledge of demonstration requirements/pressures
