Vacancy: Software Delivery Supervisor( Digital healthcare platform)

people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters

Doctors Without Borders has worked in India since 1999, providing free-of-
charge essential healthcare to people in remote areas; treatment and care for
people affected by HIV/AIDS, malnutrition; hepatitis C, tuberculosis, kala azar
and sexual and gender-based violence; an important subject for our action is
containing effect of antibiotic resistance. We also respond to natural disasters
and other emergencies, provides mental healthcare and advocates for the
development of more effective and affordable medicines to improve access to
treatment everywhere.
Doctors without Borders was awarded the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace,
Disarmament and Development in 1996 and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
Doctor without Borders India (DWBI) runs projects in the states of , Bihar,
Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jammu andKashmir, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Manipur, and
Telangana.

Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DRTB) Treatment, Care and Support
- The collaborative project within NTEP [National Tuberculosis Elimination
Program] for DRTB patient management at Shatabdi Hospital, Govandi
OPD, community outreach medical and patient support activities in M/East
Ward area
- Medical, Psychosocial Support and Infection Prevention and Control in
GTB Hospital, Sewri
- The independent clinic in Govandi to provide free and quality care to the
most severe cases of DRTB

This vacancy can either be offered as a fixed-term employment contract
under the above stated conditions, OR an SLA for independent
consultants. Accountabilities
The Software Delivery Supervisor will be responsible to drive the planning, execution and closure of deliverables that
involve the development of a digital patient support healthcare platform in conjunction with a third-party software
provider in India. As a member of the -Doctors Without Borders (DWBI)-Mumbai office, you will be the main driver of
processes, guidelines and templates that relate to these deliverables.
Coordinate the delivery of projects and products using the appropriate Agile Software Development
methodology, learning & iterating frequently in conjunction with end-users and developers.
Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production).
Work with the end-users and product developers to define the roadmap for any given product and
translate this into user stories.
Support the collaborative, dynamic planning process as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Risk and issue identification and management.
1. Support the design process
Guide new ideas through an ideation and design process to ensure they are sufficiently definedto address
MSFs strategic goals and designed with the right stakeholder involvement.
Coordinates closely with MSFInnovation Unit Case Manager and DWBI Patient Support Activity Manager
to plan a deliverables execution, defining a roadmap while taking responsibility for planning the
management of scope, costs and schedule.
2. Support the implementation process
Manage the execution, monitoring and controlling of each work stream using Agile methodology of
software development. This will include managing:
Planned and unplanned changes, risks and issues to ensure rapid delivery based on a lessons-learned
approach.
Prioritise with external stakeholders with minimal disruption to milestones.
Regular progress reporting & monitoring by using Scrum or similar practices, along with generating
monitoring metrics and reporting
Handle beta test users & ensure a process for regular feedback.
Translate user reported software / process issues into detailed bug reports or as design suggestions
Hands on software testing. Find bugs and create bug reports and
Responsible for the creation of all beta testing, platform testing, test documentation, including test
plans, test cases, test scripts, and reports and test planning and execution .
Develop QA goals, strategies, and UAT (User Acceptance Test)
Ensure quality control checks are being implemented while delivering the different versions of the
software
3. Support the handover process
Come up with a handover strategy in coordination with DWBI IT team and Epidemiology key contact,
including development and implementation road map, initiation guidelines and support.
Train theteam in the use and maintenance of the software and brief on end-user technical requirements
and troubleshooting
4. Other
Any other support in digital health platforms as requested.
Qualifications: Essential technical diploma or technical university degree, in his /her area of speciality,
preferably as an engineer
Experience: Experience in software development projects, role of delivery lead and Android
application testing .
Have been involved with all aspects of software delivery and life cycle, from inception phase
to delivery.Successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum practices and introduced Agile techniques
and have coached teams to apply them Proficient in managing scope in an Agile projectand
facilitating the user story lifecycle in close collaboration with internal and external
stakeholders, including breaking down complex requirements into independent user
stories, capturing detailed acceptance criteria, building a release plan with user, managing
the backlog, running showcases. Duration 6 Months extendable
Location: Mumbai
Expected Start Date: 25 November 2020 Prior experience with UX (User Experience) Design in the healthcare sector in India.
Familiarity with current data protection regulations suchas GDPR. Desirable: Familiaritywith
