JOB CONTENT
Brief Description:
The OpenText Application Support Engineer will work as a part of a team who are responsible to maintenance, construct
and test new custom components for a OpenText LiveSite site or hybrid app, build components needed to construct
dynamic, data-driven web pages for a LiveSite server. Experience on TeamSite to create, maintain and edit content, use
FormsPublisher forms and presentation templates, start and participate in workflows, and create SitePublisher sites and
pages and Knowledge needed to apply HP TeamSite advanced features available through FormsPublisher and Workflow
Modeler.
Knowledge on to use Design Center to develop, maintain a Communication Center Enterprise (CCE) Project to run the
entire document process in a dynamic, flexible, and feature-rich way. He/She will work in critical mission projects, which
required support 24 X 7 X 365 and will be assigned as On Call engineer during some months to support Major incidents
and changes after working hours. He/She may work in non-standard working hours and more than 8 hours a day. He/She
may interact with end users and VIP to resolve their incidents during his working hours.

Primarily Skills and Experiences:
Design, develop and maintain new applications, forms, reports, workflows leveraging OpenText Content
Server
Build and modify OpenText Content Server workflows, forms, reports, and custom taxonomy/metadata
according to specifications and expand upon existing applications to meet ongoing needs
Background in programming: Core Java, J2EE, HTML, Ajax, OScript
Hands on development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSL and SQL
Experience preferably on OTMM ver. 10.5 Integration knowledge of OTMM with OpenText or other
WCM/CMS products
Good understanding of OTMM deployment setup and troubleshooting
Strong development experience on the OpenText Content Server platform (using Content Server Web
Services, REST APIs, OScript) preferably with 10.5/16 versions Java with good knowledge of Object
oriented programming concepts
Collaborate on requirements and solution design
Provide estimates and prepare technical specification based on understanding of functional
specification
Design and code based on development standards and approaches
Perform development quality checks
Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced developers
Perform unit testing
Assist with functional acceptance testing as needed
Provide timely defect resolution to minimize delays in project timeline
Assist with code build and deployment process
Provide timely status updates
Contribute, understand and adhere to Application Development processes, software development
standards, and technical approaches relevant to assigned technology
Responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of applications as assigned and interfaces
partnering with vendors to ensure quality services
Troubleshoot and resolve system related production issues, identify root causes, work with vendors on
bugs/fixes and implement quality solutions
Perform daily administration of the application environment
Build and leverage automation to decrease overall system downtime and improve system operations
Create change requests and apply approved change requests to system functionality and configuration
Modify, enhance and or create solutions to meet business requirements
Review, plan, test and implement system upgrades and enhancements
Partner with developers to build system functionality and improve quality attributes
Review system patches and updates by vendor to ensure minimal system impact
Participate on project teams producing quality and timely deliverables
Perform unit testing of solutions prior to moving to production
Build and leverage metrics, incident reports, availability reporting and trends to improve system
functionality
Produce reports to monitor enhancements, upgrades, and patches to the environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership team
Primarily Skills and Experiences:
Good to have knowledge on working with other OpenText products such as InfoFusion, Archive Server,
OTDS, Enterprise Scan, Enterprise Connect knowledge
Good to have in OpenText Applications administration knowledge
Good to have OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting knowledge
Good to have in MongoDB and PostgresSQL knowledge
