QA Security Engineer - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Indusface

Role:
We are on the lookout for a talented individual that is passionate about Quality Assurance and Application Security to join us as a QA Security Engineer to work on our Web Security products. The individual will be joining a team with a proven track record in Bangalore India and be a part of our IndusGuard Suite of Products Unit. Primary focus of this role is to validate the signatures developed by the security labs team with an eye on quality, performance and balance between FP, FN.

 

Job Description:
Validate, test security rules to ensure quality and minimize False positives
Generate and execute pcaps to enhance the security regression test cases
Integration of testing mechanisms with industry best practices such as the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).
Performing Manual and Automated Test Cases on Indusface solutions when needed
Developing test cases, test scripts and processes (manual and automated) to ensure quality goals are met
Executing Functionality, Regression, Acceptance test cases
Automation of Test-Scripts and execution

 

Candidate Profile:
3+ years of Experience on Application Security Testing (Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, Code Review, White Box Testing).
Experience with SNORT
Understanding of network security and network layers.
Understanding and experience in testing methodologies and process improvement.
Hands on Linux and open source/commercial tools experience and any commercial tools related to Security Testing.
Should have hands on open source tools and any commercial tools related to Security Testing.
Must know Regular Expressions (RegEx)
Integration of testing mechanisms with industry best practices such as the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).
Performing Manual and Automated Test Cases when needed
Knowledge on scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, Perl
Good to have :
Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure services
Knowledge on ModSecurity and Rule writing
Experience in any of Java, Test NG, Linux Scripting, shell scripting, Python, Perl
Experience/Knowledge in Amazon Web Services
