Staff Nurse - Hyderabad / Secunderabad @ Basavatarakam

Punctuality & Discipline :

• To be punctual to duty timings in the given uniforms.
• To follow line of authority
• Work under supervision

Hygienic care:

• Give sponge bath/oral care to bed ridden patients and mobilize them as per the instruction of Nursing personnel to prevent further complications.

Assisting in eliminatory needs

• To assist in eliminatory needs like offering bed pans, urinals etc.
• To keep a track on intake and output of the patient.

Patient Transportation

• To assist the patient in transporting in the wheel chair/stretcher and shift them carefully to bed.
• To accompany with the patient when they are discharged, help them to transport their luggage
• To help the Nurse to positioning the patient
• Shifting patient from the departments to respective wards.
• Patient positioning during portable bedside x rays.

Ward management:

• Dispatch of lab requisition to lab, billing cards discharge summaries to typing pool and respective area as per instructions.
• To collect lab investigation reports and radiology reports as per instruction by nurse or ward secretary.
• To change bed sheets of the bed-ridden patients
• To help the Staff Nurse to prepare dressing tray, dressing drum etc
• To coordinate with all the departments during patient shifting

Equipment handling:

• To check on the cleanliness of the patient utility items.
• Cleaning of Diagnostic equipments

Assisting in nursing procedures:

• To help the nurses in preparing the patient for the surgery and for various other bedside procedure in the wards.
• To drop all the soiled linen in the bins, dry soiled ones in the soiled bins and strained ones to be labeled and sent for disinfection.
• To keep the hands clean and tidy by regular Hand-Washing, Wear Gloves and Mask while handling infected patient.
• To empty the urinals and bedpans in a jug and measure the urine out put every time it is emptied as per instructions.
• To bring the weekly indents from the pharmacy and central stores.
• To check the height and the weight of the new admitted patient.
• To collect pharmacy indents in various departments.
