Job Description

Help desk ( Non technical-Ticket log and assignment )


IT Helpdesk
1. Providing a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assistance with all the IT Services for capturing
service requests and wherever possible, performing resolution of Incidents at first point of contact.
The Help Desk will help with incidents and/or service requests related to the IT Services, acting as
the initial point-of contact and generating and coordinating trouble ticket numbers by capturing the
required inputs from end users. Users may notify the Help Desk of identified incidents with the
Services and may provide input to resolution.
2. Helpdesk is responsible for determining classification, prioritization, recording, tracking and
updating the service request and/or incident ticket information.
3. Helpdesk will determine the Priority; to be assigned to incidents at the time they are reported,
according to Pre - defined criteria to accurately reflect the business impact.
4. Helpdesk will record service request and / or incident tickets according the severity levels defined,
routing the same to the appropriate entity for resolution, tracking the progress of resolution efforts,
escalating incidents to the appropriate levels for resolution, and closing it upon confirmation by the
affected user that the incident has been resolved.
5. Helpdesk will communicate pertinent information regarding service requests and / or Incidents
and associated progress and making such information available to all relevant parties.
6. Helpdesk will follow the notification process for all High severity cases.
7. Helpdesk will implement and follow the processes to record and track Incidents reported directly
to on - site personnel where applicable.
8. Helpdesk will provide an estimated time to completion for Incidents and, where applicable,
interim workarounds.
9. Helpdesk will provide inputs to & participating in problem, Change, configuration and Asset
management processes / activities, wherever applicable.
10. Helpdesk will provide statistics, reports and trend analysis and recommend appropriate actions
to improve the capacity of Users to use the IT Infrastructure to effectively and efficiently meet the
business needs of MetLife and achieve a reduction in the number and the ratio of high severity level
Incidents of the calls received at the Help Desk
11. Perform Start of Day Checklist (Utilities Report):
12. Printing Services
13. Daily Health check of IT equipment for Priority User group, Meeting rooms, Interview rooms etc.
14. Review of pending calls
15. Others (Mutually agreed)


Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENT

  1. Minimum 1years experience needed as Service Desk
  2. Good Communication Skill is needed.
  3. Graduate is a must. From a Regular Institute.
  4. Aggregate of 10 th , 12th & graduation Must be 50% or above.
  5. Must be flexible to work in rotational shift.
  6. Must be Flexible to work on Saturdays
