About Us:
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join the Zimbra Email platform team. The candidate should have full software development life-cycle experience, as well as experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Should be capable of solving complex development problems, perform software development tasks like code review, adherence to the design concept and coding standards and unit testing. Should adhere to good quality work (while maintaining quantity)
- Capable of building software systems from project inception to conclusion for the Zimbra Collaboration product suite.
- Enhance and maintain Zimbra collaboration platform and its components.
- Ensure that the application runs efficiently and correctly across multiple platforms.
- Diagnose complex customer issues and deliver solutions
- Very hands-on with strong analytic capability & the ability to create innovative solutions.
- You have participated in complex software project initiatives from start-to-finish. You understand the benefits of test-driven development and code reviews and how to squeeze the most out of them.
- Participate in global agile and collaborative development teams
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- B.E., M.E / M.S. in Computer Science or another equivalent degree.
- 6+ years of experience working in a Software Engineering role
- Advanced and extensive core Java as well J2EE skills.
- Experience in object-oriented design and programming
- Knowledge of open LDAP, MariaDB, SOAP, REST API. XML, JSON, JUnit
- Experience using application servers like Jetty.
- Good understanding of source code management tools like GitHub and Stash.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems in complex systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to do a complex design and implementation from scratch
- Able to accurately create schedule for product delivery (including dependencies, risks, issues, etc.)
Nice to have
- Experience within the email/messaging domain
- Open source experience.
- Experience in working with. Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Nginx, shell scripting, Perl
