Job Description
Dear Professional, Warm Greetings from BVR People Consulting! We are looking for GM- R&D at Hyderabad .location. Qualification - The candidate should be Post-graduate OR Doctorate in Synthetic Organic Chemistry preferably from IIT/IISc/IICT. Post-doctoral degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry is preferred. Reports to :VPDesignation : General Manager R&D Job location : Hyderabad Job Description
Should have at least 20 years of working experience from any well-known API Pharmaceutical Company/s and preference will be given for the candidates who worked in the companies having their annual turnover more than 50Mn USD. Should able to handle the projects from feasibility stage at lab to commercialization at plant level. Should have capability to work on atleast 5 projects which are at different phases of the development and manage a team of ~35 people. Should be well versed with complete literature review including patents and non-patent literature. Should able to identify the best possible scheme/s based on the available literature in terms of chemistry feasibility, yield, cost, commercially available raw materials and safer process. Should able to design the reaction path on retro synthetic approach resulting a novel scheme. Capability to design and develop commercially viable non-infringing process based on the requirement. Should able to develop the process by adhering GLP/GMP guidelines. Responsible for the preparation of tech packs and comprehensive development reports. Should have capability to identify the possible impurities in each stage followed by its preparation in the lab and strategy to minimize them to the desired level. Should able to interpret known or unknown impurities of the process based on their structural data. Should have thorough knowledge on recovery of the solvents/reprocess of intermediates/reuse of catalysts. Should able to support Analytical R&D team during the finalization of specifications/method of analysis. Should be responsible to complete the project with predefined cost and quality within the agreed timelines. Responsible to reproduce the process at commercial scale during trials/commercial validation batches. Should work in co-ordination with SCM/AR&D/Regulatory/Business development. Should have sufficient exposure on project management activities. Responsible to guide the team members and create an opportunity for their career growth. Should plan for the long association with the loyalty and has to become an asset to the organization.
