Should have exposure of plant / Manufacturing environment and OE customer handling. Working Knowledge of ERP system
Key Responsibilties
create a sales pipeline
negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
seek out the appropriate contact in an organization
generate leads and cold call prospective customers
understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
calculate client quotations and administer client accounts
provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
arrange and carry out product training
analyze costs and sales
make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
help in the design of custom-made products provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team.
Address key concerns and conflicts including QA between Customer and Organization through collaboration and consensus.
Bring about harmony and cordial relationship between stakeholders of both organizations.
Ensure implementation of commercial settlements with Customer.
discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department or Department Head
liaise with the finance team, Production, Warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
seek ways of improving the way the business operates
attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world
Gather Intelligence and Information for improving Customer relationships, financially and qualitatively.
