Role description. He/she will be part of NEPC Wireless Portfolio, responsible for SW Architecture and Functional Specification development and lead technically a scrum team. He/She should be hands-on with C/C++ programming & vRAN related domain experience Responsibilities Include:
Overall RAN system understanding and systems engineering exposure to 3GPP RAN. 3-14 years of experience in 3GPP RAN technologies (LTE / 5GNR)
Must have experience in SW architecture & design development experience in RLC/MAC, PDCP and MAC Schedulers
Exposure to O-RAN Architecture
Shall be able to define SW architecture and partition HW/SW and translate standards / systems requirements into product specific requirements;
Shall be able to code features & test features in virtualization environments.
Have good understanding of nFAPI or MAC-PHY Interfaces in O-RAN context.
Shall be able to assess the product performance in the field
Strong Analytics / Mathematical skills.
Able to perform system level verification and mentor the teams technically..
Professional Skills:
Programming Languages:C/C++ (hands on experience is mandatory)
Domain / Standards:Good at either of RAN standards 5GNR/LTE
Signaling/ User Plane Protocols:All protocol aspects of RAN - RLC/MAC, PDCP , MAC Schedulers.
Transport Protocols:IP Layer2, Layer3 ; Intel DPDK & SR-IOV Knowledge
Management Protocols:SNMP, XML
Application specific skills:SW Architecture understanding of LTE eNB / C-RAN ; Good understanding of product requirements & interfaces and sound 3GPP Specification knowledge in Control Plane
Scripting:Python scripting for testing / test automation
