JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY- Work directly with business and product owners to solution business needs
- Work as part of the architecture team to develop new tools and to create proof of concepts using the latest technologies in the domain
- Able to mentor junior and mid-level team members
- Able to handle escalations alone both during business hours and during off hours
- Research and solve issues on critical production applications
- Able to handle complex application requests without assistance
- Collaborate with team members to identify the requirements to connect the business layer with other application layers
- Considered an application owner by the business
- Collaborate with the architect to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs and expectations
- Recruit, hire and develop the needed team members with advanced technical competence

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years experience in Java web application development
- Experience with server technology stacks such as Java/Java EE
- Expert in Java, Struts, Services Oriented Architectures, and MVC frameworks
- Demonstrate high level of proficiency in developing Rest/SOAP web services
- Experience with code repositories such as GIT/SVN
- Demonstrated ORM experience like Hibernate, JPA, ibatis/myBatis
- Working experience in designing database schema
- Minimum 2 years of experience in XML, JSON
- Expert knowledge operating in a UNIX environment
