Job Title : Software Development Engineer
Position Type: Full Time

Summary :
Contraly is looking for a talented and dedicated software development engineer to develop and test product related workflows using RDK stack for cable and video delivery. These devices use Reference Design Kit (RDK).
Contraly Inc., is a new start-up in the Media & Entertainment Space. Contraly's product engineering team uses industry standard tools that are combined effectively to support a fast-moving, agile development cycle. The combination of these tools running on cloud infrastructure, coupled with an effective use of Open Source code, allows Contraly to deliver features and products against aggressive timelines.
Core Responsibilities:
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and testing new capability, using the RDK Framework or other Video Frame works, which will be developed and integrated into the contraly video delivery products. You will be a member of a fast-paced product engineering team that comprises subject matter experts. You will work closely with your peers in product engineering team and also coordinate with the Technology Development, Test and Release Management teams, to ensure that products and services are deployed in a timely manner, and at a level of quality that maximises service integrity.
Key requirements and experience include:
- Overall 3 - 5 years of experience with Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- Development experience using C, C++, Python on Linux/Unix with exposure to multithreading environment
- Experience in using debugging tools like gdb, valgrind etc.,
- Familiarity with one or more scripting languages like Shell, Perl, Python, preferably in Python
- Good understanding of software best practices such as Agile-based development,
coding guidelines, code reviews etc.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Java Script / Java/Python
Experience with gstreamer framework, RDK framework , React Framework
