Job Title/Designation: Technical Project Manager
Location: Chennai
Job Description:
Experience: 6 to 11 years
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Scrum/Daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint closures, Sprint retrospection, and Reporting.
- Work towards sequencing roll-outs based out technical priorities/complexities
- Help facilitate meetings between technical teams to arrive at solutions for technical problems
- Empathize with an engineers point of view in addition to working with a product owner/product manager
- Mediate the general conflict of goals between the development team and product owner.
- Actively track the progress of the Sprint on a daily basis and take proactive measures required to help the team achieve the sprint goals.
- Create and manage appropriate reports, charts, and metrics to help all stakeholders gain visibility of the status of projects
- Ensure the team maintains focus, productivity, and efficiency by insulating them from external distractions and actively removing impediments.
- Work with the Product Owner to prepare, groom, and order the product backlog items.
- Liaise with other Scrum teams and external teams to address and resolve cross-team issues, conflicts, and dependencies.
- Choose the best suited Agile engineering practice applicable and coach the team to become self-organized by helping them understand and internalize Agile principles.
- Use retrospectives efficiently to improve the processes and outcomes continuously.
- Ask questions regarding story pointing and estimation
Qualifications and Skills: - 6+ years of software project management experience (preferably in an Agile environment).
- Has scaled the ladder from being a developer to a technical Project Manager / Scrum Master.
- Has Good technical knowledge about Micro Services, REST API, MVC, etc.
- Will be responsible for all kinds of project management functions, including project planning, scheduling, risk management, resource management, reports, and both internal and external communication.
- Scrum Master certification (at least CSM or PSM I; A-CSM or PSM-III preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in Agile engineering techniques and best practices: ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development), TDD (Test Driven Development), Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, etc.
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Has worked in the product development environment
- Prior experience working with a Data Science / Visualization project would be an added advantage.
