Technical Lead - Portal Experience (PHP/Drupal CMS expertise)

Join the ACL - Digital Experience Team helping customers evolve conventional portals into Experience Portal platform transformations. The team will be developing solutions and frameworks around the experience platforms in the Digital Transformation journey for enterprises.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure that the developer comes up with the best possible technical solutions and that they fully meet the client's objective.
• Deliver functionality across several sites for large enterprise customers.
• Improve the quality of Drupal development on assigned projects.
• Adopts a team approach, acknowledging and appreciating efforts, contributions, and compromises.
• To be part of the Portal Experience team to help plan, design & develop dynamic features using Drupal.
• Must be motivated, independent, and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
• Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes;
• Performs software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment. A full degree of creativity and latitude required.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in software development experience with CMS platforms (Drupal, Magento, and other platforms).
• Minimum 2 years of Drupal 8 programming experience.
• Experienced in developing RESTful web services in Drupal 8.
• Expertise in developing Custom & Contributed Modules using Drupal.
• Experience in developing creative Drupal Themes.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Solid understanding of LAMP internals and resource management.
• Experience in Rest APIs and Microservices development.
• Candidate should have a good knowledge of API authentication.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in writing Unit test cases using PHP Unit or similar.
• Candidate should have expertise in the WebOps process.
• Candidate should help in maintaining existing websites and provide technical support for Product Owners.
• Good exposure of integrating third-party tools like CRM, HRMS into the system
• Possess experience in necessary cross-browser support, caching, and optimization techniques for faster page load times.
• Good knowledge in MySQL and other RDBMS.

Preferred

• Familiarity with Microservices and Serverless architectures.
• Experience with industry-leading CI/CD practices and build configuration management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Hands-on experience in UI frameworks like Angular/React/Vue will be an added advantage.
• Strong verbal communications.
