Hello,
We are hiring for Desktop Support Engineer for our Aundh office.
General Summary - The position of Desktop Support Engineer will report to the Team Lead. He is responsible for 24 X 7 support ensuring installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment (Desktop / Laptop / Ipad / Tablet PC/ peripherals) working primarily on site. Installation, configuration, troubleshooting of OS, productivity tools like MS Office suite
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for Hardware/Software related problems, when unable to resolve, escalate to second or third level in accordance with Help Desk escalation processes.
* Maintain overall ownership of user's issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within timeframe.
* Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls.
* Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc.
* Record incident resolutions in the Help Desk tool.
* Provide enhancement request feedback to IT regarding technology environment and customer needs through the defined processes.
* Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, MS Windows OS, Desktops, Laptops, Printers, NIC's., Basic LAN/WAN connectivity and other as assigned.
* Handle 150 + internal and onsite employee strength
* Proactively monitor Incident, Email notification, System alerts.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Communicate well with internal and external contacts.
* Should be able to provide support on phone call for remote users & well versed with remote connection tools.
* Maintain latest technical/functional/managerial skills (as appropriate) required based on the company's technical strategies
* Follow the Company's Policies and Processes
Education, Experience and Abilities
* Preferably BE - Computer / Electronics or similar.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant field bearing similar role and responsibility
* Candidate should have knowledge on Active Directory, DHCP & System Administration.
* Candidate should have Knowledge on Microsoft Windows environments.
* Candidate should have knowledge on Networking (CCNA basics).
* Should have knowledge in troubleshooting OS, Anti-Virus, Printer, LAN and resolve day-to-day desktop issues.
* The ability to solve complex technical problems and work in a challenging environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills
* Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design and skills in database design
* Should be a good team player
* Ability to guide team members on technical issues
