We currently have an opening for Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate - Blood Bank, details for the same are given below:
Position: Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate (Blood Bank Officer)
Qualification: MBBS + MD Immunohaematology & Blood Transfusion
Experience: 1 - 4 years work experience post MD
Job Description:
- Perform blood banks procedures and methodologies which should be in accordance with recognized standards of performance and service excellence with respect to patient and donor care and as per mandatory norms.
- Provide necessary clinical support & liaise with hospital consultants on matters related to diagnosis and blood requirements whenever so required.
- Supervise donor bleeding and apheresis procedures are as per the protocols
- Review screening of blood and apheresis donors
- Accept/Reject blood/blood components after mandatory testing
- Ensure every transfusion reaction is worked up and necessary corrective and preventive action is taken
- Ensure pre-donation and post donation counseling is carried out as and when required
- Supervise and coordinate activities relating to work done in blood bank
- Officiate and perform the duties of Consultant Blood Bank in his/her absence
- Contribute towards documentation for accreditation related activities and periodic inspections
- Co-ordinate with FDA for licensing procedures along with Consultant Blood Bank
- Take necessary corrective measures in case of stock out
- Comply with CME credits as per MMC guidelines in vogue
- Participate as per the defined role during any internal/external disaster
- Any other responsibility as assigned by the organization on the need basis
