Job Title: Programme Director - Climate Smart DevelopmentExperience: Minimum 15 years national/international experience in leading Climate Smart Development programmes of an appropriate agency as evidenced by suitable papers and reports. Key Skills: She/he should have a clear understanding of Indian agriculture and natural resource systems. Candidates who have recently superannuated from any reputed organization and having relevant experience will also be considered.Key Responsibilities:
As a Leader of the Climate Smart Development Programme for Sustainable Rural Development, the Programme Director will evolve and implement strategies with particular emphasis on climate-smart, sustainable and resource conservation-focused activities.-Climate-Smart interventions in livestock, crop and natural resource management programmes.
-Develop appropriate strategies on climate change and its field implementation.
-Prepare and implement an applied research agenda for climate studies.
-Establish linkages with national & international agencies to source knowledge and project sponsorship.
