Maersk is currently looking to Assistant Sourcing Manager for our Procurement Team in Mumbai.


We are looking for Buyer to join our team of professionals in Marine Category Management and Supply Chain team in Mumbai. This will be an opportunity to work with a team of procurement professionals within in Mumbai where you will build an extensive understanding of the A.P. Moller Maersk Group through cooperation and interaction with stakeholders and offices around the world. Job Role:


Running the RFQ process with non-contracted suppliers for optimal deliveries

You will have an end to end responsibility, accountability and handling entire demand to delivery process
Follow Procure to Pay process (PTP) for timely payments to all vendors and handle invoices with discrepancies
Performs stakeholder management with technical organizations through daily interactions and addressing their concerns in a timely manner
Ensure optimum utilization of vessel budgets
You will be involved in key negotiations and supplier performance measurement tasks
Demand forecasting and volume allocation basis annual spend data
Follow the 4R Principle Right Price, Right Place, Right Time and Right Quantities
Always follow Maersks carbon-neutral initiative to minimize the carbon emission in our supply chains
Work closely with Master data teams to avoid free text buying by the vessels
Close association with Master Data Teams to ensure we have 100% catalogue coverage at key ports
Involved in developing new suppliers basis delivery experience at respective ports to expand our global coverage
Must have a sense of urgency to address all pressing matters with key stakeholders.

An ideal candidate would look like below:


Holds an Engineering degree at a minimum with a procurement background. Experience from Shipping/ O&G would be an added plus


Relevant work experience ranging between 3-6 years from a reputed organization focused towards Supply Chain


Hands-On experience with the purchase of Ship Spares will be a plus


Understands stakeholder management and can build rapport even in challenging situations


Excellent verbal and written English communication skills


Customer focus & service mindset


Preferred broad knowledge on non-purchasing and logistics subjects, e.g. technical insight, vessel operations, customs rules and regulations in the countries which our vessels trade


Agile behaviour while handling numerous tasks within limited timeframes in a structured manner with an eye for the detail.


Good understanding of international supply chain.
