Job Summary:
The scientific editors will be part of the medical writing team which provides medical and scientific writing services to the globally renowned pharmaceutical corporations. Scientific editors use their understanding of subject matter, the medical, pharma & publication industry to convert complex scientific content into error free, publication ready documents that are both scientifically & linguistically accurate. Job description:
- Editing of promotional material content global pharmaceutical clients by checking the language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency of language (tense), and adherence to brand style/client guidelines for promotional materials
- Format documents based on journal/congress guidelines
- Ensure that the document adheres to specified style guides - AMA Manual of Style/brand style/Client Guidelines
- Consistently deliver a high-quality edit, exceeding client expectations every time
- Contribute to team initiatives like knowledge sharing exercises and documentation of resource
Eligibility:
- Minimum 7 to 14 year experience in copy editing
- A Bachelors/Masters degree in life science / English
- Excellent written and spoken English skills (TOEFL/IELTS score is preferred)
- Team handling experience
- A keen eye for detail
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Demonstrated ability to work with tight timelines and a collaborative environment
