Job Description
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience and expert-level skills using Node.js and MySQL
- Understanding of Node promises/loops, Socket.io, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery & Git version control.
- Ability to quickly ramp up to new/emerging technologies as required.
- Experience with designing and developing distributed systems.
- Experience with microservices and respective architecture design principles and scalability best practices.
- Ability to design, build, and maintain REST APIs for use in production and you have experience working with Open API standards like Swagger.
- Ability to interact with third-party APIs and build RESTful web services using Node.js
- Proficient with Git as source code management tooling.
- Proficient with CI/CD tooling such as Shippable or Jenkins.
- Experience with relational database systems including MySQL and writing complex SQL queries
- Experience with popular Node.js web frameworks and/or utility libraries such as Express and Hapi etc.
- Experience working with cloud and container orchestration technologies like Docker.
- Able to take initiative without close supervision
- AWS experience is preferred (not mandatory)
