This role is part of the Information Services Team within the Business and Technology Services and Support group.
In this highly visible and hands-on role, the Technical Delivery Manager will oversee the core technical team in delivering Application Development, Integration and Configuration.
Reporting to Business and Technology Services and Support Manager, the successful candidate will leverage industry knowledge and experience to guide the business through creative and transformation uses of new technologies to deliver world class service and support to IDPs customers and staff in a cost effective and predictable manner.
The key responsibilities and deliverable of this role are:
To provide overall leadership and technical direction, supervision and support to the team.
To drive a culture of Customer first within the IDP technology team ensuring all staff consider the customer as the centre of all their activities
To ensure all Technology services are:
a. aligned to the needs of IDPs customers
b. delivered in conjunction with the IDP business teams as appropriate
c. harmonised with IDPs business goals to produce maximum returns
Managing multiple cross-function delivery teams, with focus on technical excellence and high-performance culture.
Keep pace with the introduction of relevant agile / lean tools and techniques, and remove obstacles and blockers that might get in the way of delivery.
Ensure teams are appropriately skilled, trained and developed to enable them to deliver high quality services
Act as a change lead for Digital Acceleration initiatives and other projects, as and when required.
Manage and develop strategic partnerships with third party suppliers and other internal stakeholders
Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required
Drive a continual service improvement programme based on a desire to become a world class managed service provider for IDP.
Contribute to operational, project and management level reporting
Contribute to IDP projects from time to time as required

Provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members
Proactively work to reduce potential incidents, by proposing, planning and implementing continuous improvements
Maintain detailed application and domain knowledge to support technical teams, as appropriate.
Technical related documentation is created, aligned to business requirements, and maintained
Technology services delivered to meet business and project requirements
Technology services delivered on time, and within budget
Technology services are planned, coordinated and occur in a timely manner
Technology tools are selected, implemented and configured in line with IDP requirements
