Job Description
Cadence products are licensed using Flexera s FlexNet technology and are protected using proprietary and third-party technologies. The License Engineering team is a central development organization that collaborates with every Cadence product team to provide licensing and software protection technologies. This position is for an experienced Software Engineer in Test that would be responsible for the automation, tools and testing of core licensing components used across the company. Responsibilities Participate in requirements and design reviews Design, develop and implement test cases Develop and maintain test automation in C++ Perform smoke, regression, functional, performance, security and exploratory testing Investigate test failures and customer issues to identify root cause Collaborate with team members to deliver high quality products Required Experience Bachelors Degree required; Information Systems or related field preferred 3-5 years of Software Development or QA experience including at least 2 years writing unit tests or test automation using C, C++ Familiarity with Linux and Windows Ability to work independently Preferred Experience Experience with API testing in C or C++ Experience with Python, Perl and/or shell scripting Performance and/or Capacity testing experience a plus Experience with Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins Understanding of test methodologies such as fakes, mocks, and dependency injection Experience in agile development Experience with JIRA We re doing work that matters.
