Technical - Essential Skills
1. Installation, Configuration, Monitoring and Troubleshooting of PostgreSQL Database
(Community & Enterprise DB) along with Master-Slave configuration.
2. Data Migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL Database.
3. Overall Database Server Performance Review & Tuning (Parameters)
4. Database Clustering and Data Replication
5. Database backup and point in time recovery
6. Understanding of overall PostgreSQL Arch
7. Database Upgrade and Migration to Latest version.
8. In-Depth Knowledge of Physical and Logical Architecture of Database and Memory
components.
9. Designing Database Maintenance policy
10. Knowledge of Query Tuning and Preventive Maintenance
11. Planning, Executing DR drills and Actual disaster.
12. Coordination with OEM partner and provide data for Service Request.
Oracle Database -
Technical - Essential Skills
1. Expertise in Oracle database 11g /12c/18c/19c Administrations.
2. In-depth Knowledge of Database Physical and Logical Structures. Memory Structures and
background processes.
3. Hands-on knowledge of RAC, ASM and Data replication tools Dataguard, Golden Gate etc.
4. Expertise in database performance review and tuning, Query re-write is highly desirable .
5. Expertise in Table partitioning
6. Experience in Solution Architecture and sizing of Oracle Databases is a must
7. In depth knowledge of AWR, ASH and ADDM reports
8. Experience using or managing Windows, Linux or UNIX operating systems. Linux experience
is a strong plus.
9. Database Upgrade, Migration Patch Installation
10. Physical Database Design and Implementation
11. Review contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources
12. aExpertise in Uptime management, Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis
13. Database Backup and recovery using Datapump and RMAN utility Key Skills: DBA or a Database developer
Experience as a DBA Solution Arch
Experience in Oracle can be on a higher side than PostgreSQL
