Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers responsible for core platform functions, including;

• Cloud infrastructure and environment automation

• Security compliance, prevention, and response

• Common frameworks to support incident prevention response, capacity planning, fault tolerance, as well as cost planning management,

• Integration of new components into shared CI/CD pipeline

• Deployment of common services for all levels of system monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLA compliance.

Essential Qualities

• You have a degree in Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical

• You have experience building internal frameworks to increase developer and release velocity, code health, and security.

• You have a very strong experience in managing production systems in AWS at scale

• You like to write Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) instead of doing manual tasks

• You come from a Linux background

• You have experience with container orchestration

• You are a capable coder in either Python or Go

• You live and breath automation

• You possess a deep understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies and concepts.

• You have the ability to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining quality

• You have a desire to evaluate and learn new technologies to tackle real user problems effectively

• You can see or set strategic outcomes as well as incremental steps for execution

• You have good interpersonal skills and willingness to work across teams in a fast paced environment

• You enjoy mentoring and growing team members
