Lead DBA & Full Stack Developer @ Nokia

Key Responsibilities: We look for a resource who is highly skilled in Data Base Administration and have a passion to work as a Lead Developer as well. The primary responsibility is to play a strong role in database design, performance tuning and supportguide the larger RD team in tasks relating to database design and implementation. In addition, the candidate is expected to work as a developer as part of the RD team.. Required Skills: o This position requires highly motivated and creative individuals.
o Working as Full stack developer with hands on programming experience in Java, JavaScript, know-how of NodeJS ecosystem and expertise in database configuration.
o Expert level programming knowledge in JavaSpring, JavaScript application frameworks- ReactJS AngularJS, Typescript, Nodejs.
o Expertise in developing micro-service based REST APIs
o Expertise in server-side programming using Spring Framework.
o Experience in developing high performance, distributed and scalable applications with Container deployment (Docker and Kubernetes)
o Hands-on Database with expertise in NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Redis and hands-on prior experience with RDBMS, preferably MariaDB MySQL
o Optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, database performance tuning and other methods.
o Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances.
o Extensive experience in data modelling and database design involving any combination of various NoSQL storage technologies (Key-Value, Column-Family, Document, Graph)
o Data integration using ETL data virtualization tools, security, Master Data Management and APIs
o Proficient in the use of a Cassandra database in High Availability (HA) and Fault Tolerant (FT) configuration (hands-on experience required)
o Proficient in fine-tuning the performance of a NoSQL database, preferably Cassandra (hands-on experience required)
o Awareness of various performance parameters required
o At least 2+ years of cloud experience in AWS | Open stack Cloud Platform experience in leading large data transformation projects using SQL and No-SQL technologies.
o Excellent problem solving, hands-on engineering, and communication skills
Interests:
o Knowledge in Messaging and Streaming frameworks like - RabbitMQ Kafka messaging APIs and push notifications are a plus
o Familiarity with Continuous Integration and DevOps methodologies and tools chain e.g. Jenkins, Cucumber, automated unitfunctional testing tools.
o Know-how of database replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access in OpenStack or AWS cloud deployment
o Exposure to API gateway would be plus Other Requirements: - BachelorMasters in Degree in Computer Science Engineering
7-9 years experience in software development and design.
