Work Experience
- 5- 6 Years related field of Molecular Diagnostics specially handling Viral PCR testing
- Preferable experience working with ABI platform.
- Should have experience of handling his/her department independently with all compliances.
- A suitable candidate must be presentable with decent communication skills
- Computer and systems proficiency, specifically with MS Office systems, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as laboratory management systems

Purpose Statement To perform, operate and manage Molecular Diagnostics Lab testing
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Key Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing & Preparing specimen for molecular testing as per defined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Competent in performing molecular techniques- nucleic acid extraction (both manual and automated), various PCR techniques including RT-PCR set-up, standardization and validation procedures.
- Experience in qualitative assays and quantitative viral load assays.
- Perform data analysis, interpret test results, and generate case reports for final review
- Standardization of assays, documentation and troubleshooting.
- Perform maintenance of the laboratory equipment as per protocols
- Validate the results and release for Pathologist's approval on completion of analysis
- Maintain the documentation as defined in the standard operating Procedures
- Maintain adequate day to day inventory levels
- Post Approval from lab head make decisions in assessing calibration, control and acceptability of analytical runs for all laboratory data produced by themselves or other unlicensed personnel.
- Observe all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests.
- Notify supervisor any abnormal findings/test conditions required for specific attention of the supervisor.
- Responsible to maintain Quality Management System & maintain the technical records.
